Hogan Lovells advises Allianz on ControlExpert acquisition
A multi-jurisdictional team from Hogan Lovells has advised the Allianz Group on the acquisition of a majority stake in ControlExpert, the international market leader in artificial intelligence-based claims handling in the automotive sector.
The acquisition will enable Allianz to settle motor vehicle claims significantly faster and to use artificial intelligence in claims settlement. ControlExpert will retain its business model and operational autonomy, as well as its name, brand and identity.
Hogan Lovells advised Allianz on all transaction-related issues.
Teams from Hogan Lovells’ offices in Germany, Netherlands, Spain, Brazil, China, Hong Kong, UK, Italy, Japan, Poland, Mexico and the US.
The firm’s Brazil team was led by partner Isabel Costa Carvalho (pictured), and Arthur R. Amaral and Ana Laura Pereira Laura Pongeluppi.
The Mexico team was led by partner Carlos Ramos Miranda, with counsel Fernando Medina, senior associate Pablo Corcuera Bain and associate Rodrigo Valentin Gutiérrez Sánchez.
