Hogan Lovells boosts LatAm team in Mexico with Alberto de la Parra

Global law firm Hogan Lovells announced Alberto de la Parra (pictured) has joined the firm as a Corporate & Finance partner in its Mexico City office. De la Parra arrives from Jones Day and will join the firm’s Infrastructure, Energy, Resources & Projects (IERP) practice.

A highly regarded transactional lawyer in Mexico, de la Parra brings extensive experience advising on complex, high-value mandates. His addition strengthens the firm’s established capabilities as it continues to grow its presence in this strategic market.

At Jones Day, de la Parra led the Banking and Finance Practice in Mexico City. His career spans several decades and includes 16 years at Santamarina & Steta—where he served as partner and a member of the Management Committee—as well as roles at Galicia Abogados and Grupo México, one of the country’s largest conglomerates, where he served as general counsel.

He is recognized for his work on major infrastructure and M&A matters in industries such as mining and transportation, and for his involvement in landmark privatizations in Mexico’s airport, railroad, and steel sectors.De la Parra earned his J.D. from Escuela Libre de Derecho in Mexico City.
