Hogan Lovells counsels on urban and sustainable development construction in Monterrey

Hogan Lovells has counselled a group of diverse sectors on an agreement for the construction and development of a complex in the city of Monterrey, Mexico.

The multi-sector group, promoting ASG commitments, was comprised of the Chamber of Real Estate Owners of the State of Nuevo León (CAPROBI) and the National Chamber of the Housing Development and Promotion Industry (CANADEVI), as well as representatives from the Instituto Tecnológico de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey, the Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León and the Universidad Regiomontana.

The construction will be carried out under the leadership of the city’s mayor Luis Donaldo Colosio Riojas and the secretary of Sustainable Urban Development Laura Irais Ballesteros Mancilla, as part of one of the strategic projects planned for the city, which also include a central corridor, a metropolitan corridor, the northwest corridor, green areas, bicycle lanes and transport stations. The programme will include public works worth more than $200 million over the course of his term as mayor.

Hogan Lovells’ team was composed of partner René Arce Lozano (pictured) and associates Dinorah Pensado and Felipe García.
