Holland & Knight acts for Banco Multiva in loan to Chihuahua state

Holland & Knight has advised Banco Multiva on a 70- million-peso ($35.8 million) loan to the Mexican state of Chihuahua.

Alejandro Landra Thierry H&KThe law firm’s partner Alejandro Landa Thierry (pictured) and associate José Luis Villareal advised on the loan. Holland & Knight had previously advised the bank on financing for the northern state, which borders the US and is Mexico’s largest, in July of this year.

The loan was granted pursuant to Mexico’s law on financial discipline for federal entities and municipalities. Banco Multiva was selected as lender to the state of Chihuahua through a competitive bidding process.
