Holland & Knight acts for Banco Multiva on $62m loan to Chihuahua state


Holland & Knight has advised Banco Multiva on a 1.18-billion-peso ($62 million) loan to the Mexican state of Chihuahua, as part of a 28-billion-peso ($1.47 billion) financial reorganisation.
 

ChihuahuaThe loans were refinanced pursuant to Mexico’s law on financial discipline for federal entities and municipalities. 

Banco Multiva, a Mexican financial group, was selected as lender to the state of Chihuahua through competitive bidding processes.
 Bordering the US, Chihuahua is Mexico’s largest state and home to the Copper Canyon (pictured).
