Holland & Knight adds real estate partner in Mexico

Holland & Knight announced that Luis Moreno has joined the firm in Mexico City.

 

mexico cityMoreno received a J.D. degree from Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México and an LL.M. degree from the University of Houston Law Center. He is licensed to practice in Mexico and New York.

He has more than 20 years of experience focusing on real estate transactions and investment as well as hospitality and energy-related real estate projects. His background includes working with the Mexican Ministry of Finance and the international legal department of oil giant Pemex. Moreno has also practice law with international law firms in New York City and Mexico City.

Mexico City’s legal market has witnessed a spate of high profile lateral moves this year with Holland & Knight welcoming Luis Rubio Barnetche and his team from Jones Day in January and a litigation partner from Baker McKenzie in April

Holland & Knight opened its Mexico City office in 2013 and it now includes 41 attorneys, including eight partners. Globally, the firm is home to over 1,250 lawyers.
