Holland & Knight represents Banco Santander in $45m Mexico RE financing

Holland & Knight has represented Banco Santander México as lender and agent for a $45 million bridge financing for Inmobiliaria Rivoli, a subsidiary of local real estate developer HUCAPITAL.

Landa Alejandro H&KThe financing is for the development for the first stage of the SADRO real estate project in Puebla.

The first stage of the project includes the construction of two luxury residential towers, while the second stage includes a luxury hotel and a commercial mall. Both projects have Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design (LEED) certificates granted by the US Green Building Council.

The deal closed on April 8.

The transaction was led by Mexico City-based partner Alejandro Landa Thierry (pictured) and associate Aldo González Melo.
