Hughes Hubbard signs a cooperation agreement with Rio law firm
New York-headquartered law firm Hughes Hubbard & Reed has signed a cooperation agreement with Saud Advogados, a law firm in Rio de Janeiro.
Saud Advogados is a new firm, set up by Salim Jorge Saud Neto, a former partner at Tauil & Chequer Advogados. While Hughes Hubbard has a long standing experience in transactions involving Brazil and Latin America, the agreement marks the first time it ventures into the region.
As the focus of Saud Advogados is anti-corruption and compliance work, it is expected the firms will collaborate in these areas.
