J.D. Rassi Advogados is the new boutique firm in São Paulo

João Daniel Rassi has left SiqueiraCastro, where he led the firm’s corporate criminal law practice for more than a decade, to launch J.D. Rassi Advogados, a boutique firm focused on corporate and economic criminal law.

Rassi built his career at leading criminal law boutiques before moving into a full-service environment, where he spent nearly 16 years at SiqueiraCastro. He holds a Master’s degree in Criminal Law, a PhD in Criminal Law, and a PhD in Criminal Procedure, all from the University of São Paulo. He has also authored and co-authored books and scholarly articles on subjects including public procurement offences, corporate liability, evidentiary issues in criminal proceedings, and developments in economic criminal law.

Over the course of his career, he built his practice at renowned criminal law firms, including Delmanto and Paulo José da Costa Júnior, and later consolidated his experience in a full-service setting, where he led the Corporate Criminal Law practice at SiqueiraCastro for more than a decade. Rassi has also developed a strong academic career, with published books and articles, as well as institutional roles and a well-recognized commitment to pro bono advocacy.
