Jones Day advised Enesa on sale of Mexican power plant manufacturer
Jones Day acted for private equity company Enesa on the sale of Selmec, its power plant manufacturer in Mexico.
Selmec Equipos Industriales was founded in 1941 and is headquartered in Mexico City. The company designs and manufactures diesel generators as well as natural gas and LP gas generators.
Until the sale, Selmec was owned by Enesa, a private equity fund that invests in the energy and health sectors in Latin America
Generac, which acquired Selmec, is a NYSE-listed global designer and manufacturer of generators and other engine-powered products
Partner Mauricio Castilla led the Jones Day team in Mexico City which advised Enesa.
Generac instructed Creel, Garcia-Cuellar, Aiza & Enriquez.
