Jones Day advised the banks on Marfrig $1 billion offering
Jones Day acted for Banco do Brasil, Banco Bradesco, BTG Pactual, HSBC, Nomura and Santander in an international offering of $1.0 billion of 6.875% senior notes due 2025 by Marfrig.
The deal also included and concurrent tender offers by Marfrig for two series of its outstanding debt securities.
Marfrig Global Foods is Brazil’s third largest food processing company. It is headquartered in São Paulo and operates in 22 countries, exporting to over 100. The company is widely considered to be the fourth-largest beef producer in the world.
Partner Boris Dolgonos in NY led the Jones Day lawyers acting for the banks. The team also included partners Wade Angus and Marcello Hallake in São Paulo as well as Marc Rijkaart van Cappellen in Amsterdam.
