Jones Day advises Grupo Gigante on power-purchase agreement

Jones Day has advised Mexican retailer Grupo Gigante and its subsidiaries, as consumers, on the elaboration and negotiation of a 29,974,464 kWh-per-year electricity generation and delivery conract with solar developer Sol de los Manzanos. 

José Estandia of Jones DaySol de los Manzanos is a subsidiary of Gas Natural del Noroeste’s subsidiary, and will generate the electricity from its solar facility in Chihuahua state.

Jones Day’s team was led by partner José Estandía in Mexico City.
