Jones Day advises Pure Biofuels del Peru on sale to Valero

Peruvian fuel importer Pure Biofuels instructed Jones Day on its acquisition by Valero Energy, a Texas-based fuel and petrochemical company.

The transaction, which was funded with an undisclosed cash amount, also includes refined products terminals in Callao, near Lima, and in Paita, near Piura in the north of the country, owned Pure Biofuels del Peru. 

Valero Energy is a Fortune 500 international manufacturer and marketer of transportation fuels, other petrochemical products, and power. The acquisition of Pure Biofuels del Peru from Pegasus Capital Advisors marks Valero´s first foray in Latin America 

The Jones Day team was led by partner Andy Levine in New York. 

Valero instructed Norton Rose Fulbright.
