Jones Day assists TotalEnergies in partnership and investment with Omaha, Sunix and Tropingas

Jones Day has advised TotalEnergies and V Energy on a strategic alliance with Omaha, Sunix and Tropingas in the Dominican Republic

 Jones Day has assisted TotalEnergies Marketing Services S.A.S. and its subsidiary V Energy S.A., in connection with a strategic alliance and investment agreement with Omaha Beach Investment Corp, Sunix Petroleum, S.R.L. and Tropigas Dominicana, S.R.L. in the Dominican Republic, with the purpose of driving the country’s energy transition.

This alliance will result in a 50/50 economic joint venture, bringing together the brands TotalEnergies; Sunix and Tropigas Natural, which belong to MARTÍ, in a network of more than 190 service stations, which will be operated under the TotalEnergies brand. The commercial activities of both companies in the distribution of natural gas, fuels, lubricants, solar and other renewable energies will also be expanded, reinforcing their leading position in this market.

The deal is expected to close in the third quarter of 2022, subject to approvals.
