Jones Day helps Marfrig create Brazil-US joint venture

Jones Day has represented Brazil’s Marfrig Global Foods, one of the world’s leading beef producers and the world’s largest beef patty producer, in the creation of PlantPlus Foods, a joint venture with US-based Archer-Daniels-Midland Company, a leading global nutrition company.

PlantPlus Foods will sell plant-based food products across the South American and North American markets.

Marfrig will initially own 70 per cent of PlantPlus Foods, with ADM owning the remaining 30 per cent.

The joint venture company will be headquartered in Chicago.
