Kennedys launches in Brazil and Peru

Insurance specialist law firm Kennedys announced the opening of new offices in Brazil and Peru with senior hires in both countries.

In Brazil, Kennedys will continue an existing association with TM Law, in both Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo in addition to an office in Sao Paulo which will offer consultancy and risk management advice to re insurance clients. Fabio Torres will be leading the Kennedys team in Sao Paulo.

For the Lima office, Kennedys hired Marco Rivera Noya to head the team. Rivera Noya joins from Peruvian law firm Osterling Abogados and will be supported by associate Jorge Mere, who relocated from Miami, and attorneys Noriko Hasegawa and Alonso Barreda.

Kennedys has been on expansion overdrive in Latin America in recent times, having entered an association in Argentina with Buenos Aires-based Alberto Bunge & Asociados, which followed that with Chilean insurance law boutique Sateler Depolo Diemoz Abogados. The firm also has a growing Miami outpost and associate offices in Bogotá and Mexico City.
