Kincaid Mendes Vianna Advogados promotes two new partners

Kincaid Mendes Vianna Advogados announced the promotion of Verônica Estrella Holzmeister (pictured left) and Tarik Bergallo Kalil Jacob (pictured right) as new partners in the firm, which now has 10 partners. Both have been part of the firm’s team since 2019 and 2014, respectively.

Verônica has over fifteen years of experience in civil litigation, arbitration, and complex infrastructure, transportation, logistics, and energy projects. She also served as legal manager at a large infrastructure company, which gives her a unique business perspective in her work as a lawyer, particularly with regard to structuring new businesses.

She holds a law degree from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio) and a master’s degree in Civil Procedural Law from the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo (PUC-SP). She is also a professor of undergraduate and graduate courses in Civil Procedural Law at PUC-Rio, a member of the Civil Procedure Study Commission of the Brazilian Bar Association (OAB/RJ), a member of the Procedure and Arbitration Commission of the Brazilian Lawyers Institute (IAB), a member of OAB/RJ, and an arbitrator at the Brazilian Center for Mediation and Arbitration (CBMA).

Tarik has practical experience in maritime law, corporate law, litigation, and arbitration. He has been working for over 15 years in litigation related to the maritime and oil and gas sectors, insurance and environmental issues, maritime accidents, emergency response, and complex contractual disputes.

He holds a law degree from Universidade Federal Fluminense (UFF), a postgraduate degree in Corporate Law and Capital Markets from Fundação Getúlio Vargas (FGV/RJ), and a specialization in Maritime Law also from FGV/RJ. He is a member of the Brazilian Maritime Law Association (ABDM) and also a professor in the Continuing Education course in Maritime Law at FGV – RJ and a guest professor in other Maritime Law courses.
