KLA assists Suzano on negociation with FIP Florestas do Brasil
KLA Advogados assisted Suzano, a publicly-held company, entered into a share purchase agreement and other covenants with precedent conditions with Florestas do Brasil Fundo de Investimento em Participações Multiestratégia and FIA Timber Growth Brazil; to acquire all shares issued by Caravelas Florestal, and subsequently the 24,715.39 hectares of rural properties located in the cities of Caravelas, Nova Viçosa, Mucuri e Ibirapuã, State of Bahia, and forests already established in its premisses.
The closing of the deal is still subject to the approval of CADE.
Complementing Suzano’s forest base in the region of the State of Bahia, the transaction optimizes its forest base and gives it the option of a potential project for expanding its pulp production.
