KPMG hires new tax head partner in Peru

Luis Valle Uribe has joined KPMG in Lima as the company’s new head partner of its domestic corporate tax practice in Peru. 

Luis Valle Uribe of KPMGUribe (pictured) joins the company with more than 20 years of experience in advising companies on tax matters and compliance, and carrying out audits, as well as structuring complex financing packages, company restructuring and M&As.

Prior to joining KPMG, he was lead partner in the tax area of Arbe Abogados. 

Uribe has also worked as principal associate in the tax practice of Garrigues and at Ferrero Abogados, and prior to that was a lawyer at Estudio Hernández & Cía, EY and Arthur Andersen.



He is a law graduate of the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú, and holds as MSc in public policy from the School of Governance at the University of Maastricht, in which his specialisation focused on tax policy and environmental taxation laws.

He is a member of the Instituto Peruano de Investigación y Desarrollo Tributario (IPIDET), and the International Fiscal Association.
