Larrain in financing for Arica Airport
Larrain y Asociados has advised Banco del Estado de Chile in the structuring, negotiation and closing of a project financing granted to Sociedad Concesionaria Aeropuerto de Arica (Arica Airport Concessionaire Company), for an approximate amount of USD $75,017,603 (UF 1,810,500).
The funds will be used to refinance loans previously granted to the Concessionaire Company, to finance the construction and start-up of the Chacalluta Airport in Arica, to finance the payment of the Value Added Tax associated with the construction of the aforementioned project, and to issue the required guarantee bonds.
This transaction, signed on 20 November 2023 and closed on 31 January, contemplated a series of usual safeguards and guarantees for this type of operation.
