Larrain y Asociados advises Creation Investments on Avla shares subscription

Larrain y Asociados has counselled Creation Investments on the due diligence and subscription of Avla shares and their incorporation into the Avla shareholders’ agreement.

 Chilean law firm Larrain y Asociados has advised Creation Investments in the due diligence and negotiation of the Avla S.A. share subscription agreement, as well as in the incorporation of Creation Investments to the current shareholders’ agreement.

This transaction was closed on 11 June, pursuant to which Creation Investments will subscribe for approximately 26% of the issued share capital of Avla S.A., at a value of approximately $20,000,000 US dollars. This capital increase will be used to finance the company’s international expansion plan and strengthen its financial position.

AVLA is an insurance group that offers comprehensive solutions in Latin America through guarantee insurance, credit insurance and financing solutions and currently has operations in Chile, Peru and Mexico.

Creation Investments is a Chicago-based social impact investment manager specialising in private equity investments in financial institutions in emerging markets, with significant investments in 15 countries including Peru, Mexico and India.

Barros Errazuriz advised Avla S.A. and Tyndall acted as investment banker.
