Larrain y Asociados represents Transchile in financing restructuring
Larrain y Asociados has assisted Transchile Charrúa Transmisión in connection with the financing of a power transmission project
Larrain y Asociados has represented Transchile Charrúa Transmisión S.A., a Ferrovial Group company, in the due diligence, negotiation and drafting of the long-term restructuring of the financing granted by Scotiabank Chile and Banco de Sabadell Sucursal Miami (in force since 2016), associated with a power transmission project already built (transmission line of 206 kilometres in southern Chile); as well as in the granting of new financing by Scotiabank Chile.
The transaction was closed on 27 September for an approximate value of $115,000,000 US dollars. Baker McKenzie Chile advised Scotiabank Chile and Banco de Sabadell Miami Branch.
Transchile Charrúa Transmisión S.A. is a private company based in Chile. The company was established in 2005 as the legal successor to the Consorcio Temuco S.A. consortium, which was awarded the rights to operate and execute the Charrúa – Nueva Temuco 2×220 kV, 204 km long trunk line, known as Charrúa – Cautín. This line came into operation at the beginning of 2010.
