Latest issue of The Latin American Lawyer now available
The July issue of The Latin American Lawyer is now available to download.
The latest issue includes an interview with Dentons Chile managing partner José Manuel Larraín. With the recent opening of an office in Santiago, Dentons now has nine offices in eight Latin American countries – Larraín explains why the firm is looking to build a leading pan-Latin American and Caribbean firm.
We also report on Baker McKenzie Mexico’s efforts to tackle workplace discrimination by introducing policies aimed at encouraging more male lawyers to get involved in childcare while also providing more support for women lawyers juggling a family and a career.
Meanwhile, we also talk to the managing partner of Venezuela law firm Leĝa, which, at a time when most major law firms in the country are downsizing, has bucked the trend by completing a merger with a local firm.
In addition, the magazine also features:
– An analysis of the Latin American real estate market as lawyers in the region benefit from a booming property market
– An interview with Toyota Mexico general counsel Luis F. Lozano Olivares, who says he wants external law firms
– A Q&A with Walmart compliance and ethics chief Daniel Trujillo
