Latest issue of The Latin American Lawyer now online

The latest issue of The Latin American Lawyer brings the most current and relevant content of the last few months. As usual, in both versions we present our On the move section, dedicated to highlighting the most important and recent transfers and movements.

On the other hand, in our usual On the web section, for the Brazilian version we compile historical transactions with amounts in the millions, while the Hispanic version focuses on operations carried out in favour of government projects or government issues carried out by some countries in the region.

In both versions, we dedicate the covers to the movements and partner signings made throughout 2023 that were registered on our website, as well as interesting facts about these hires and appointments.

Also, in both versions of the magazine, we present a ranking of the firms with the most M&A activity during 2023, with information from TTR. In both versions of the magazine, we also include an article analysing the past year and the outlook for 2024 on the transactional market, featuring lawyers who are experts in the field.

In the Portuguese version, we interviewed the managing partner of Cescon Barrieu, Alexandre Gossn Barreto, who shared about the evolution of the firm, goals for the future of the firm, and how he has assumed his newly appointed position.

We cannot leave aside one of the most important transactions that took place during the year, the integration of the Chilean, Colombian and Peruvian stock exchanges, which was successfully led by PPU partner Claudia Barrero, whom we approached to delve into the repercussions of this milestone in Latin America. All this in the spanish version.

Also in the spanish version, we continue to learn about the use of compliance in Honduras, from the World Compliance Association. In addition, we present an article in collaboration with InLaw Alliance of Firms, written by Augusto Arce.

Both versions also include an article from the group’s Iberian Lawyer magazine, dedicated to the history of Garrigues and its New York office.

Finally, we list the winners of the Latin American Lawyer Energy & Infrastructure Awards 2023, announced during the gala ceremony held at the Tivoli Mofarrej Hotel in São Paulo on 13 December 2023.
