Latest issue of The Latin American Lawyer now online

The new edition of The Latin American Lawyer arrives with the most current and relevant content of recent months. As usual, in both versions we present our On the move section, dedicated to highlighting the most important and recent transfers and movements.

Meanwhile, in our usual On the web section, for the Brazilian version we compile high-ranking transactions, while the Hispanic version focuses on operations led mainly by women.

In both versions, we dedicate the front pages to highlighting the efforts of law firms to promote gender diversity among their senior management, by presenting rankings of the firms with the highest number of female partners.

Following this line, in the spanish version we also analyse the law firms with practices focused on Latin America that have the Mansfield certification, a rule that promotes gender parity in the firms’ teams of lawyers.

Also, in the spanish version, still in line with the women’s month content, we interviewed a leading figure in corporate law in Colombia, María Isabel Romero, recently appointed partner at Gómez-Pinzón.

Another high-value interview was with Awtra, a company that in just four years has begun its expansion throughout LatAm, in which we delved into the business’ approach and its compliance training programme, available in the portuguese version.

We crossed borders by also approaching Constantino Pérez Salgado, who told us about the situation of the LatAm Desk of the firm based in the Iberian region, Gómez-Acebo & Pombo, where he was appointed partner a few months ago.

Finally, in the Brazilian version, we dedicated an article to the distributed generation sector, which is going through a period of change and growth in the country. To this end, some of Tozzini Freire’s partners contributed words of experience.

We continue to learn about the use of compliance, this time in Guatemala, from the World Compliance Association. We also present an article in collaboration with InLaw Alliance of Firms, written by Luis Fernando Rincón and Christian Santiago Guzmán from Colombia. These in the spanish version

We also contribute in both versions, and on behalf of the group’s Iberian magazine, Iberian Lawyer, a compilation of 50 women who are role models in the legal industry.
