Latest issue of The Latin American Lawyer now online

We present our new edition of The Latin American Lawyer with the most current and relevant content of recent months. As usual, in both versions we feature our On the move section, dedicated to highlighting the most important and recent transfers and movements.

Meanwhile, in our usual On the web section, for the Brazilian version we compile Capital Markets operations, while the spanish version focuses on financial operations.

We dedicate the cover of the spanish-speaking magazine to the arrival of WDR in Chile, where we talk to the leaders of this important network of women litigators, highlighting the importance of having a diversity of perspectives in dispute resolution. Meanwhile, the Brazilian front page highlights Pinheiro Neto Advogados, where we interview the current managing partner of this prominent firm that has been making history for more than 80 years.

We continue the line of diversity by discussing the inclusion of LGBTQIA+ professionals and other minorities in Brazil, talking about this issue with prominent lawyers.

In both versions we show the potential of betting on clean energy, as in the Brazilian version we gathered the opinions of some partners to talk about the opportunities and challenges in this regard; while in the spanish version we approached Cristóbal Illanes, partner of Grupo Evans and leader of its new subsidiary with a focus on energy projects: Enlace Ingeniería.

Back to the Brazilian version, we follow a few legal analyses of the flood crisis in Rio Grande do Sul. This article seeks to understand the legal impacts of the tragedy with the support of different law firms.

We travelled to Ecuador where Pedro Córdova, partner at Robalino Abogados, gave us an in-depth look at the strategies that have allowed this firm to stand out in a highly competitive environment in Ecuador, as well as its plans for the future and constant adaptation to the market. All this in the Hispanic version.

In this latest version, we also highlight the firms that have stood out in the first half of the year in the transactional market. With information from TTR Data, we present a ranking of these firms, according to their number of M&A transactions.

We continue learning about the use of compliance, this time in Ecuador, with the support of the World Compliance Association. We also present an article in collaboration with the InLaw Alliance of Firms, written by Francisco Santillán from Ecuador.

Finally, also in both versions, and on behalf of the group’s Iberian magazine, Iberian Lawyer, we provide two articles where we delve into the management of Pirelli’s legal department, as well as a look at the Latin American firms that have landed in Europe.
