Latham & Watkins incorporates two partners to its New York office

Latham & Watkins has reinforced its Latin America practice with this hirings

Latham & Watkins LLP has announced the addition of Gianluca Bacchiocchi and Guido Liniado to the firm as partners in the Corporate Department and the Energy and Infrastructure Group and as members of the Capital Markets and Latin America Practice. They join the New York office and will advise clients on energy and infrastructure transactions throughout Latin America.

Both bring extensive experience in the Energy and Infrastructure sectors, emphasising capital markets, projects, banking operations and finance.

Bacchiocchi and Liniado focus on representing sponsors, issuers, underwriters, investors and support providers of cross-border capital markets transactions in Latin America. They have advised banks, institutional investors, development finance institutions, sponsors and organisations on a wide range of issues across the region, including leveraged, acquisition, assets, structured, project bond, private placement, hybrid structures, multi-source financing, asset-backed securities issues, future flow backed securities and high yield debt.

The addition of Bacchiocchi and Liniado is a continuation of David Penna’s returning to the firm at the end of last year after working as Senior Vice President in the Office of Strategic Initiatives of the United States Development Finance Corporation (DFC).

Bacchiocchi and Liniado join Latham & Watkins from Clifford Chance US LLP in New York. Bacchiocchi received his law degree from New York University Law School and his bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan. Liniado obtained his LLM from Columbia University Law School and the Universidad de Alcalá de Henares, and graduated from the Universidad de Buenos Aires.
