The Latin American Lawyer Energy & Infrastructure Awards in its I Edition, aims to highlight the excellence of the lawyers of firms, experts in the sector of energy and infrastructure in Latin America. With these recognitions, the excellence and achievements of the leading players in the sector in their different disciplines are rewarded.
The Awards Gala will take place on October 24th in Mexico City.

Prizes are awarded within the energy and infrastructure sector to the following categories for all of Latin America:

Los Latin American Lawyer Energy & Infrastructure Awards en su I Edición, tienen como objetivo destacar la excelencia de los abogados de firmas, expertos en el sector de energía e infraestructuras en Latinoamérica. Con estos reconocimientos, se premia la excelencia y lo logros conseguidos por los protagonistas del sector en sus distintas disciplinas.

La Gala de los premios tendrá lugar el día 24 de Octubre en Mexico City.

ART. 1 – Promoter, purpose and period of validity: is an initiative promoted by Iberian Legal Group, publisher of Latin American Lawyer, with the purpose, among other things, of stimulating competitiveness in the legal-business world. In 2019, the first “Latin American Energy & Infrastructure Awards” (hereinafter, “Initiative”) are held with the objective of recognizing the excellence of the main players of the energy and infrastructure sector, for their outstanding merits in the period between June 1, 2018 and June 30, 2019 (hereinafter, “Validity Period”).
The Initiative is governed by the following rules:
 
ART. 2 – Rules for participation and selection: participation in the Initiative is reserved to lawyers from firms with experience in the specific sector, highlighting the financial, tax, competition or criminal economic among others who work in the Latin American region, during the period of validity (hereinafter the “candidates”).
Identification and classification of candidates:
Candidates will be preliminarily identified through submission forms and the results of research conducted by The Latin American Lawyer during the period of validity, to finally elaborate a list of finalists including them in one or more categories.

Phases in determining the categories
First phase: The list of candidates will be published on the website www.thelatinamericanlawyer.com in July 2019.
Second phase: Ranking of finalists after online voting.thelatinamericanlawyer.com through an online voting system, will assign a score from A to C, where A is the highest rating and C is the lowest.
Third phase: Ranking of finalists. Prizes are awarded based on the complexity of the transactions performed (value and quantity) during the validity period and the added value that lawyers offer to clients in those transactions.
 
ART. 3 – Communication of the finalists and award ceremony: the names of the finalists for each of the categories identified will be communicated on 24 October 2019, starting at 20:00h during the Energy & Infrastructures Awards Gala.
Iberian Legal Group SL reserves the right to inform the candidates / finalists more details about the modality of their participation and the development of the Gala.
 
ART. 4 – Awards Ceremony
IMPORTANT: If the prize is not collected during the Gala personally by the interested party or in the case of a team by at least one senior representative of the team, it is irrevocably presumed as a waiver of the prize which, in this case, will be automatically assigned to the second best classified in the same category. The editor of The Latin American Lawyer authorizes the best finalists to use the image rights linked to the “Energy & Infrastructures Awards”.

ART. 1 – Promotor, finalidad y período de validez: es una iniciativa promovida por Iberian Legal Group, editora de Latin American Lawyer, con la finalidad, entre otras cosas, de estimular la competitividad en el mundo jurídico-empresarial. El año 2019 se convocan los primeros  “Latin American Energy & Infrastructure Awards” (en adelante, “Iniciativa”) con el objetivo de reconocer la excelencia de los protagonistas del sector energético y de infrastructuras, por sus méritos destacables en el periodo comprendido entre el 1 de junio de 2018 y el 30 de junio de 2019 (en adelante,”Período de validez”).

La Iniciativa se rige por las normas que se indican a continuación.

ART. 2 – Normas de participación y selección: la participación en la Iniciativa está reservada a los abogados de firmas con experiencia en el sector específico, destacando el ámbito financiero, fiscalista, de competencia o penal económico entre otros que ejerzan su trabajo en la región lationamericana, durante el período de validez (en adelante los “candidatos”).

– Identificación y clasificación de los candidatos.

Los candidatos serán identificados preliminarmente a través de formularios ( submission) ; y de los resultados de la investigación llevada a cabo por The Latin American Lawyer durante el período de validez, para finalmente elaborar una lista de finalistas incluyéndolos en una o más categorías.

  • Fases de determinación de las categorias

Primera fase: La lista de candidatos se publicará en la página web .www.thelatinamericanlawyer.com, en Mayo de 2019

Segunda fase: Ranking de finalistas después de la votación online.thelatinamericanlawyer.com a través de un sistema de votación online, asignará una puntuación de la A a la C, donde A es la  calificación más alta y C es la más baja.

Tercera fase: Ranking de los finalistas. Los premios se asignan en base a la complejidad de las operaciones realizadas (valor y cantidad) durante el período de validez y al valor añadido que los abogados ofrecen a los clientes en esas operaciones.

ART. 3 – Comunicación de los finalistas y ceremonia de entrega de premios: se comunicarán los nombres de los finalistas para cada una de las categorías identificadas el 24 de Octubre de 2019, a partir de las 20:00h durante la Gala de los Premios Energy & Infrastructures Awards.

Iberian Legal Group SL se reserva el derecho a informar a los candidatos / finalistas más detalles sobre la modalidad de su participación y el desarrollo de la Gala.

ART. 4 – Entrega de premios

IMPORTANTE: Si no se recoge el premio durante la Gala personalmente por parte del interesado o en caso de equipo por al menos un representante sénior del equipo, se presume irrevocablemente como una renuncia al premio que, en este caso, se asignará automáticamente al segundo mejor clasificado de la misma categoría. El editor de The Latin American Lawyer autoriza a los mejores finalistas a utilizar los derechos de imagen vinculados a los ” Energy & Infrastructures Awards “.
