LatinAlliance adds partner from Romero Pineda

Central American legal outfit LatinAlliance announced the arrival of José Freddy Zometa as a new partner in El Salvador. 

Zometa joined LatinAlliance as its new regional corporate director. He is a solicitor and notary public and has over 15 years of experience in corporate matters. Zometa graduated in law from the Universidad Dr. Jose Matias Delgado in El Salvador and holds postgraduate qualifications in finance and aviation law.

Prior to joining LatinAlliance, Zometa was head of corporate at Romero Pineda & Abogados, a fiercely independent law firm in El Salvador, which is also the local member of Lex Mundi. At his new firn, Zometa will oversee operations across LatinAlliance offices in four countries as well as handling M&A transactions.

LatinAlliance launched in 2004 with the merger of two law firms in El Salvador and Costa Rica, respectively, expanding to Nicaragua and Guatemala at a later date.
