Law firms advise on the acquisition of mining unit by Fosfatados
Lampert Advogados advised Fosfatados Centro, a company controlled by the businessman Rodolfo Galvani Júnior, on entering into an agreement to acquire the Patos de Minas (MG) mining unit belonging to Mosaic Fertilizantes, which was advised by Lobo de Rizzo Advogados.
The deal will now move on to the fulfillment of conditions precedent, in particular the analysis by the Administrative Council for Economic Defense (CADE) and other competent authorities.
The transaction was valued at US$ 125 million and the agreement is seen as a step forward in the supply of phosphate to the Brazilian market, reducing dependence on imports and linking in with the National Fertilizer Plan drawn up by the Federal Government.
