Lefosse acts in agreement between AES Tiete Energia and Itaú Unibanco
AES Tietê Energia S.A and Itaú Unibanco S.A. have signed an Investment Agreement that governs Itaú’s investment in new preferred shares
Lefosse Advogados partners Christiano Rehder (pictured top left), Carlos Mello (pictured top right), José Carlos Berardo (pictured bottom left) and Pedro Dante (pictured bottom right) together with associates Fernando Rodrigues, Victor Cogliati Boccardo, Carolina Delamare, Luisa Barreto, Marília Avila and Luisa Leite advised AES Tietê Energia S.A. on the investment agreement that governs Itaú’s investment in new preferred shares.
The shares will be issued by Guaimbê Solar Holding S.A., a subsidiary of AES Tietê that holds all wind and solar power generation projects of the growing renewables business within the group.
Itaú will invest R$855 million and become a shareholder of Guaimbê Holding with a 19.9% stake in its total capital stock.
The investment in AES Tietê’s renewable energy business highlights its ability to attract qualified investors and the bank’s commitment to promote renewable energy generation.
For AES Tietê, this is an opportunity to boost its growth plan by allocating the investment to be made by Itaú to expand its portfolio of renewable energy generation projects.
