Lefosse advises Italac on the Líder and Tânia acquisitions
Lefosse has advised Goiásminas Indústria de Laticínios (Italac) on the acquisition of the Líder and Tânia dairy brands and certain operating assets from A.R.C. Logística e Alimentos. The transaction, forms part of Italac’s strategy to expand its operations and strengthen its presence in the Brazilian dairy market.
The transaction covered the acquisition of the Líder and Tânia brands along with certain operating assets from ARC, including industrial plants located in Presidente Prudente (São Paulo), Lobato (Paraná) and Guaraçaí (São Paulo), as well as milk collection centers across the states of Paraná, São Paulo, Santa Catarina and Mato Grosso do Sul. Lefosse’s team advised Italac on the negotiation and structuring of the terms and conditions of the asset purchase agreement entered into between the parties, working to define a contractual solution that facilitated the agreement between the two sides.
The Lefosse team advising Italac was led by Fernando Carvalho, partner, together with associates João Pedro Pizarro, Paulo Correia and Amanda Daher, with support from legal assistant Laís Lucci. On the client side, Felipe Cardoso da Freiria, Executive Director at Italac, was involved in the matter.
