Lefosse Advogados assisted BTG Pactual in the launching of two exchange-traded investment funds
Lefosse Advogados advised BTG Pactual Asset Management S.A on the structuring and offering of two exchange-traded investment funds (“ETFs”): the BTG Pactual S&P/B3 Ingenius Fundo de Índice and the BTG Pactual Ibovespa B3 Fundo de Índice, both traded in the Brazilian stock exchange (B3).
ETF is a type of investment fund that tracks a certain index, with quotas available to be purchased or sold by investors on a stock exchange, which represents a more practical way for national and international diversification of the investment portfolio, including for retail investors.
BTG Pactual Ibovespa B3 Fundo de Índice tracks the B3’s Ibovespa index, which is formed by the main Brazilian listed companies. By its turn, BTG Pactual S&P/B3 Ingenius Fundo de Índice allow local investors to have equity exposure to the biggest global companies in the tech, media and entertainment businesses, without having to directly invest in the international markets.
