Lefosse assists Qualicorp in acquisition of Unimed portfolio
Lefosse Advogados advised Qualicorp Consultoria e Corretora de Seguros S.A in its acquisition of a health insurance portfolio with 7.9 thousand lives
Lefosse Advogados advised Qualicorp, a publicly traded company listed in the Novo Mercado segment of B3 S.A. – Brasil, Bolsa, Balcão (Brazil Stock Exchange or “B3”), a leading health benefits administrator and health management services provider in Brazil, in its acquisition of a portfolio of private health plans containing approximately 7.9 thousand lives in the Affinities and SME Stipulated segments, from Gestão Serviços de Intermediação, Agenciamento e Negócios Ltda, located in the city of Natal, Rio Grande do Norte and served by Unimed Natal.
The Transaction, which involves only the rights and obligations of these portfolios, marks the beginning of Qualicorp’s partnership with Unimed Natal. Unimed Natal is in line with Qualicorp’s growth strategy in its business fronts and with its objective to diversify the health life portfolio in different operators, which includes the expansion of its offer of private health plans in all regions of Brazil.
