Leonardo Dib Freire joins RMMG as new partner

Rossi Maffini Milman & Grando Advogados has announced the addition of Leonardo Dib Freire (pictured) as new partner and head of the Energy practice in the São Paulo office.

“I am very excited about the challenge of developing a new area at RMMG. The Energy segment involves regulated sectors and therefore interacts a lot with the other areas of the firm. The issues are interdisciplinary. We will be able to offer a complete performance, with the participation of several teams in the same case […] It is a very challenging goal, especially in a market as developed as São Paulo. This challenge gives me a lot of fuel and energy”, stated the new partner.

Leonardo is a graduate of the Law School of the University of Brasília (UnB), a specialist in Civil Procedural Law from the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo (PUC/SP) and is pursuing a master’s degree in the same area at the Law School of the University of São Paulo (USP).

He has extensive experience in international commercial arbitration, alternative dispute resolution and litigation, including operations in regulated economic sectors – such as oil and gas, fuels, electricity, land and water transportation, telecommunications and mining.

In his career, he has worked mainly on matters related to public law and the energy sector, including litigation before the High Courts. He also worked at the former Secretariat of Economic Law of the Ministry of Justice and at the Central Bank of Brazil, in addition to being a partner of a renowned law firm specialised in litigation and arbitration. Prior to joining the firm, he worked at firms such as LUC Advogados and Perlman Vidigal Godoy Advogados.
