Levy Salomão and TozziniFreire advise on Novelis’ issuance

Levy Salomão and TozziniFreire advised on the transaction in which Novelis Corporation priced a senior note offering with an aggregate principal amount of US$750 million and an interest rate of 6.375%, maturing in August 2033.

The notes were offered in a private offering exempt from registration under the Securities Act of 1933, as amended, and are guaranteed, jointly and severally, on a senior and unsecured basis, by Novelis and certain of its subsidiaries.

Levy Salomão Advogados advised Novelis do Brasil and relied on partner Luiz Roberto de Assis (pictured left), associate Fabio Kupfermann Rodarte.

Torys was legal counsel to Novelis Corporation (United States law).

TozziniFreire assisted BNP Paribas, acting on behalf of itself and as a Representative of the Initial Purchasers on the Transaction documents, particularly on Brazilian legal and regulatory aspects, and relied on partner Alexei Bonamin (pictured) and associate Leonardo Braghetto.

Skadden was legal counsel to the initial purchasers (United States law).
