Lexincorp expands partnership in Nicaragua

The Central American law firm Lexincorp announced the promotion of Fernando Midence-Mantilla and Claudia Vivas Sacasa to the partnership. The new partners will lead the Managua office of the firm. 

Fernando Midence-Mantilla joined the firm in 2012 and has practiced in the areas of corporate and banking. His career includes working as associate at other leading Managua law firms and also at the in-house legal department of Telefonica Movistar in Central America. Midence-Mantilla holds a Law Degree from Universidad Americana in Nicaragua; a postgraduate degree in Banking Law and Capital Market from the same university and also a LLM from the University of Pennsylvania, United States.

Claudia Vivas-Sacasa joined Lexincorp in 2011 and focuses on tax and administrative law besides general corporate and banking work. Vivas-Sacasa has previously served as senior legal counsel to the economic section of the US Embassy in Nicaragua. She graduated in law from Universidad Católica “Redemptoris Mater”, Nicaragua and holds several degrees including one in Banking Law from the Universidad Americana, Nicaragua, another in International Business from the INCAE Business School, Nicaragua, one in Business Tax Law from the Universidad Americana, Nicaragua, and a four, in Property Law from Universidad del Valle, Nicaragua. Vivas Casa also holds a Master of Laws in International Contracts from the Thomas More-University Luigi Bocconi, Italy.
