Lexincorp has announced the incorporation of José Miguel Valladares to the corporate department as partner, and who joins the firm after several years running his own private practice, V&P Legal.
José Miguel (pictured) will now lead Lexincorp’s the International Business, International Litigation and Global Economic Law areas.
José Miguel specialises in counselling commercial clients, especially startups, and has also represented clients successfully in international arbitrations.
With an MA in French Law and European Union Law from La Sorbonne University, and an MA in International Business Law and Economic Law from Georgetown University, José Miguel is uniquely qualified to offer the firm’s international clients advice on how to best structure their legal needs when conducting business in Guatemala, the firm said in a statement.

He has also passed the New York Bar Exam, where he is only waiting for his registration. Fluent in five languages, he acted as consul in Paris and as legal advisor to the Permanent Mission of Guatemala to the Organisation of American States.
Gonzalo Menéndez Park, the firm’s founding partner, commented, “our corporate department and the firm as a whole benefits from José Miguel’s expertise and knowledge, which come to expand the range of services we can now offer our clients. We are certain that his incorporation is the beginning of a very successful relationship, and we are looking forward to many years working together”.
