Carlos Ardila and John Slater

L&W adds new LatAm partners for 2023

Latham & Watkins has announced the appointment of 44 new partners and 46 new directors globally, effective 1 January 2023. Joining from the Latin America practice are Carlos Ardila and John Slater.

Carlos Ardila (pictured left) is a member of the Latin America Practice, the Project Finance and Development Practice and the Finance Department. He advises clients on cross-border corporate and finance transactions and on energy and infrastructure matters, with a focus on transactions in Latin America. He received his law degree from Harvard Law School in 2011. Originally from Colombia, Carlos is fluent in English, Spanish, Portuguese and Mandarin.

John Slater (pictured right) is a member of the Latin America Practice, the Capital Markets Practice and the Corporate Department. He represents issuers, underwriters and sellers of securities in public and private securities offerings and also advises clients on securities compliance and corporate governance matters. He received his law degree from Tulane University Law School in 2014. Born and raised in Madrid, John is fluent in English and Spanish.
