M&A assists Interbank and BBVA Peru in registering programmes at the SMV
Miranda & Amado has advised Banco Internacional del Perú and BBVA Perú on the registration of various programmes at the Superintendency of the Stock Market
Miranda & Amado has assisted Banco Internacional del Perú – Interbank, as arranger, in the registration at the Superintendency of the Stock Market (Superintendencia del Mercado de Valores- SMV) of the first commercial paper programme of FT Capital S.A., as well as in the registration of the first corporate bond programme of the same company, for an aggregate amount of $100 million Peruvian soles for each transaction. These transactions were closed on 19 and 7 October respectively.
The firm has also advised Banco BBVA Peru, as managing agent, in relation to the registration at the Superintendency of the Stock Market (SMV) of the second negotiable certificates of deposit (CDN) programme of Financiera Confianza S.A.A., for the aggregate amount of $200 million Peruvian soles and the first issuance under the programme. This transaction was closed on 26 October, where María Esther Torres acted as in-house counsel for Financiera Confianza.
In both transactions, M&A’s team was composed of partner José Miguel Puiggros (pictured left), together with associate Alessia Roca (pictured right); while for the second transaction, associate Rafael Santín also participated.
