M&A counsels IDB, DEG and Rabobank on $93.5m loan to Ecosac

Miranda & Amado has advised IDB Invest, DEG and Rabobank on a USD 93.5 million loan in favour of Ecosac Agrícola and Ecoacuicola

 Peruvian law firm Miranda & Amado has counselled Inter-American Investment Corporation (IDB Invest) and DEG, as lenders, and Rabobank, as participant, in a $93,500,000 US dollar syndicated loan granted in favour of Ecosac Agrícola S.A.C. and Ecoacuicola S.A.C.

In this transaction, closed on 19 October, Clifford Chance, Linklaters and Estudio Rubio acted as lawyers for Ecosac.

Eco-Acuícola S.A.C. and Ecosac Agrícola S.A.C., constitute a set of operations dedicated to the aquaculture and agricultural businesses, producing shrimp, grapes, peppers, and avocado, among other products in different presentations. Eco-Acuícola started operations in December 2001, initially dedicated to the cultivation of shrimp, and later entered the agricultural business with the planting, harvesting and marketing of grapes, avocado and various varieties of peppers, among others, through its subsidiary Ecosac Agrícola. They currently operate in the United States, Spain, Germany, France and Denmark.
