M&A represents Santander in financing to H.I.G.

Miranda & Amado has assisted Santander in a financing granted to subsidiaries of H.I.G. Capital

 Peruvian law firm Miranda & Amado represented Santander as sole arranger and lender in connection with its financing granted to subsidiaries of H.I.G. Capital for the acquisition of a majority stake in several Grupo Ransa companies.

This transaction, closed on 29 October, involved Paul Hastings as US counsel to Santander; Debevoise and Plimpton as US counsel to H.I.G.; and Rebaza, Alcaza and de las casas as Peruvian counsel to H.I.G.

H.I.G. Capital is an international private equity management firm with over $45 billion of assets under management. The firm manages a family of private equity, growth equity, credit/special situation, primary lending, syndicated credit and real estate funds, as well as providing debt and equity capital to small and medium-sized companies.

Pedro Álvarez de Cienfuegos acted as Santander’s in-house lawyer.
