MACF names two new managing partners
Mijares Angoitia Cortés y Fuentes has announced the designation of Francisco Fuentes Ostos (pictured left) and Horacio de Uriarte Flores (pictured right) as new managing partners of the firm, who serve as of 1 January 2024.
These appointments will have a three-year term and members will be eligible for re-election for one additional term.
The new managing partners will be responsible for defining the firm’s strategy, overseeing compliance with its values and internal policies, and representing the firm externally and internally. In addition, they will work closely with the Management Committee, which will be responsible for implementing the strategy, coordinating the practice areas, supervising the operational, financial and administrative management of the Firm, as well as developing and monitoring the goals and objectives of the organisation. They will also rely on the partners who are members of the Executive Committee of Affinitas, a strategic alliance with firms in Colombia, Chile and Peru.
Additionally, as part of the corporate governance, the Management Committee will have different Special Committees that will be supported to address specialised issues such as the Pro-Bono Committee, the Diversity and Inclusion Committee, the Systems Committee, among others.
