Machado Associados announces a new partner
Machado Associados announces the arrival of lawyer Carlos Augusto da Cruz (pictured) to work in the direct tax area.
Augusto worked at the firm between 1998 and 2018. Now, he returns, bringing his consolidated experience and deep knowledge to continue driving the firm’s development and excellence.
With over 30 years of experience in tax consulting, Augusto is recognized for his ethics, attention to detail, and solid accounting knowledge.
He has served companies in the telecommunications, mining, chemical, retail, technology, transportation, agriculture, logistics, and service industries.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in law from Universidade Bandeirantes and in accounting from Universidade São Francisco. He also has a specialization in tax law from the Brazilian Institute of Tax Studies (IBET).
He was a partner in the tax department of a full-service law firm for over 16 years, in addition to having worked in external and internal audits and as a tax advisor to business groups.
He was also a guest lecturer at Trevisan Escola de Negócios and a speaker at the Regional Accounting Council, focusing on income taxation and tax incentives.
