Machado Associados announces André Blotta Laza as new partner
Machado Associados announced that André Blotta Laza (pictured) joined the team in June as partner to lead the employment and labor taxation practices.
Laza previously worked at the firm from 2013 to 2018, where he was already active in these departments. He now is back with his expertise and dedication to continue driving the firm’s growth and excellence.
Throughout his career, he has served as a legal consultant for various labor/trade unions, professional associations and has worked at top-tier law firms specializing in Business Law.
Laza holds a bachelor’s degree in Law and has postgraduate studies in Labor and Procedure Law from Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie (São Paulo). He is also an expert in Arbitration and Sports Law from Fundação Getulio Vargas (São Paulo).
Currently, he is a member of five Special Committees of the Brazilian Bar Association (São Paulo section): Labor & Employment Law, Social Security Law, Union Law, Sports Law, and Arbitration & Alternative Dispute Resolution.
He also serves on HR/ESG institutions and on Sports Courts’ disciplinary committees for rugby (state level) and futsal (national and state levels), and perform as an arbitrator and mediator at specialized centers in the state of São Paulo.
