Machado Meyer advises Sonepar on Support deal
Machado Meyer advised Sonepar, a family-owned company operating in the B2B distribution of electrical materials and related solutions and services, on the acquisition of 100% of Support Comércio de Equipamentos e Automação Industrial . The transaction was carried out through Sonepar’s subsidiary Eletronor Distribuidora de Materiais Elétricos and closed in Brazil.
Support is a company specializing in the distribution of products for industrial automation, instrumentation, electrical materials, electrical panel assembly and collaborative robotics. The sellers in the transaction were Gabriel Franco de Campos, Murilo Franco de Campos, Julia Franco de Campos and Ana Cláudia Pinto Franco de Campos, who were advised by Loeser e Haddad Advogados. The operation represents Sonepar’s expansion in the Brazilian market for the distribution of industrial automation products.
The deal was led by M&A partners Arthur Bardawil Penteado and Mariana Meditsch, with support from associates Felipe Schivartche and Rafaela Gomes Ehl Barbosa. Competition matters were handled separately by partner Maria Eugenia Novis, who oversaw the CADE filing process.
