Machado Meyer advises the underwriters on issuance by SPIC
Machado Meyer advised the underwriters on the 1st issuance of commercial papers, in a single series, by SPIC Brasil Energia Participações in the total amount of R$ 450 million, under CVM 476, reaching its term in three years.
The placement of the commercial papers was intermediated by underwriters Bank BOCOM BBM and by Banco Itaú BBA.
The issuer is part of the SPIC group, one of the 5 largest power generation groups worldwide, with total installed capacity of 187 GW in 46 countries, with a high focus on sustainable energy.
In Brazil, SPIC has 3.106 MW installed, including solar plants and wind farms.
The resources obtained through the Commercial Papers will be invested in the Issuer’s subsidiaries and on their power expansions projects, contributing to the diversification of power sources and to the reduction of the emission of greenhouse gasses.
