Machado Meyer Advogados counseled the 1st commercial paper issue, in a single tranche, for public distribution with restricted placement efforts, pursuant to CVM Instruction 476, of commercial paper issued by Companhia de Locação das Américas, guaranteed by Unidas SA, in the total amount of R$800 million.

Machado Meyer was the advisor for the transaction and represented both Companhia de Locação das Américas and Banco Santander (Brasil) S.A., Banco Safra S.A. and was headed by partners Guilherme Azevedo Ferreira Alves (pictured left) and Gustavo Rugani do Couto e Silva (pictured right). Lawyers Andre Figueiredo Diniz, Fernanda Marques Ribeiro and Wagner Eustaquio Duarte Junior were also involved.
