Machado Meyer counsels Sterlite on Brazil transmission line sale
Brazilian law firm Machadao Meyer has acted as counsel to the Brazilian subsidiary of Indian company Sterlite Technologies on its sale of a power transmission line concession to Engie Brasil.
The deal was valued at 410 million reais ($108 million).
The deal hands Engie the entire stake in Sterlite Novo Estado Energia, which holds a concession to build 1,800km of transmission lines in the northern states of Pará and Tocantins.
