Madrona advises In Press on Golin Ketchum deal
Madrona Advogados advised In Press Participações, the holding company of Grupo In Press, on the acquisition of all quotas of Ketchum Estratégia Assessoria de Comunicação, known as Golin Ketchum Brazil. The transaction, involved the sale of the agency by Omnicom Brasil Serviços, part of the US-based Omnicom group.
The acquisition is part of a broader reorganization of Omnicom’s operations in Brazil, which followed the merger between Omnicom and Interpublic Group. Through the deal, Grupo In Press becomes the house of Omnicom brands in Brazil, expanding its footprint in the local public relations market while the agency remains connected to Omnicom’s global public relations network. The deal did not have a disclosed value.
The Madrona Advogados team advising In Press Participações was led by Luciana Felisbino, partner, together with Henrique Maluta and Gabriel Vieira on the corporate and M&A side. On the antitrust front, the firm’s team included Luis Nagalli, partner, alongside Rodrigo Vianna, Júlia Niemeyer, Leticia Harumi and Regina Martins Vieira.
Omnicom Brasil Serviços Ltda. was represented by Koury Lopes Advogados (KLA), with the team composed of Melissa Kanô and Helena Sá Dias Guerra.
